- ORGANIZATIONAL RACIAL EQUITY TRAINING SERIES -

Racial equity and reconciliation is an ongoing process. Dismantling the manifestations of systems of oppression within our organizations requires honesty, intentional intervention, and ongoing work.

Unlearn Everything and Live works to support local organizations in deepening and broadening their equity practices, and works to bring forth transformation centered in racial reconciliation. It is important that this work be done in a holistic way that is responsive to the contextual, relational, and process needs of each individual organization.

Unlearn Everything and Live offers a series of learning experiences as an opportunity to develop a foundational understanding of the system of racial inequity in the context of the United States, and the impact it has at the interpersonal, institutional, and structural levels.

All sessions (virtual or in-person) will utilize multiple learning strategies, including: interactive activities, facilitated discussion, and video viewings.

The sessions are designed in a progressive way, and an integral component of the experience is the shared discussions participants have with fellow organizational team members. Although it’s possible to participate in just one or two of the sessions––we recommend that the team take all seven sessions in succession in order to receive the full benefit of this format.

Our support for organizational change for racial equity can include but is not limited to:

  • Facilitating Learning and Unlearning Session on the system of racial inequity for organizational teams
  • Engaging organizational teams in developing skills and practices that will make transformation for equity possible
  • Facilitating an exercise in honesty and trust building in which you have the opportunity to explore what is currently true about your organizational culture and practices
  • Providing consultation and collaborative support to organizational team members to move the change process forward
